It contains light in a dark world, nourishment for your soul, and comfort for a broken heart. Here Paradise is restored, Heaven opened and the gates of hell disclosed. Christ is its grand subject, our good the design and the glory of God its end. It should fill the memory, rule the heart and guide the feet. Read it slowly, frequently, reverantly and prayerfully. It involves the highest responsibilty, will reward the greatest labor and will condemn all who trifle with its sacred contents.

The Key to true Spiritual Growth for every human being is to know nothing except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. [ 1 Corinthians 2:2 ] Jesus Christ said if you have seen me you have seen the Father [John 1:18 NIV]. And you will never see Jesus for who He is unless you are born again. It is supernatural plain and simple. In other words, to know Jesus Christ is to know God. Because, as a man, He was the physical expression and the exact representation of His Father. Jesus Christ is the Logos, the (Word of God) made flesh. [John 1:14 ] I have relatives tell me all the time that I look and speak just like my father. Jesus' representation of His Father was in unbroken communion and deeds that provided undisputable evidence to that He (Jesus) and His Father were one [John 10:30]. Jesus Christ is the flesh, blood and bone manifestation of the invisible God. God is the mystery of all the ages. Jesus Christ explains the mystery. Do you want to know God? Know Jesus Christ! God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself. [II Corinthians 5:19]

But none can understand the sacred contents of scripture unless they are born again. That is why Jesus made it perfectly clear that we must be reborn into God's family by faith in the atonement of His death on the cross to take away the sin of the world and the hope we have in His resurrection [1 Corinthians 15:3-8 NIV]. "...all who received Him, to those who believe in His name, He gave the right to be called the children of God"[John 1:12 NIV]. Being born again is a supernatural rebirth. Once you are born into God's family, and just like a new born child, you need to be nourished by the milk of God's word. Therefore, the best resource for knowing God is the Bible. "I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life"[1 John 5:13 NIV].
True Spiritual growth is about the right connection. Several months ago my computer came disconnected from the monitor. It was a simple fix. All that was needed was to plug the cord that connected the computer to the monitor back in. A simple inspection periodically would have prevented the down-time of my writing production.
The Bible tells us in [Genesis 3:6-7] that the first Adam, formed in God's image, allowed sin to enter God's creation through disobedience to a simple command. Through the disobedience of one man sin entered the world. As a result, sin would cause a disconnection between a Holy God and a sinful race. Just as my monitor died as a result of a disconnection, so too Adam's connection with God died. The image of the creator was lost, then forgotten. But God so loved the world [John 3:16-17] and while Adam's race was helpless, God in His mercy reached out to us.
When the fullness of time came, according to [Galatians 4:4] God sent His Word into Adam's world through a woman named Mary. Mary's child was God's Word become flesh and they called Him Jesus. Jesus Christ came from the Father to establish a new connection and became the uplink to the Father.
Now that Jesus Christ has established an uplink to the Father as described in [ John 14:6] He is the download according to [Colossians 2:3] of all the wisdom and knowledge of God the Father. The apostle Paul in [II Corinthians 3:5] admonishes us to examine our connection periodically.
